This workshop explores cybersecurity challenges faced by essential industries such as healthcare, energy, and transportation. It focuses on regulatory frameworks, system vulnerabilities, software security modelling, and sector-specific threats. Through case studies and hands-on exercises, attendees will gain practical insights into protecting vital systems from cyber threats and ensuring resilience in an increasingly digital world.
Participants will engage with experts from academia through four key tutorials and lectures:
— 11:00–12:30: EU Cybersecurity Legislation in Practice [Nineta Polemi, University of Piraeus]
— 12:45–14:15: Emerging Threats in the Energy Sector [Stelios Karagiannis, Ionian University & PDMFC]
— 14:30–16:00: Binaries Exploitation in Healthcare Systems [Dimitris Koutras, University of Piraeus]
— 16:00–17:30: Software Security in Maritime Sector [Pinelopi Kyranoudi, Technical University of Crete]
